What duty do I have to avoid accidents as a pedestrian in Florida?
Your duty as a pedestrian in Florida is to act as a reasonably prudent person would act. That basically means don’t run into oncoming traffic. Don’t jump in front of a moving vehicle. Don’t throw anything at cars. Just act reasonably safe as you’re walking on the sidewalks and crosswalks and you’re doing your duty as a pedestrian to not cause or add to the accidents in Florida.
