Peter Tragos Appointed to Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee
We are excited to announce Peter Tragos’ appointment by the president-elect of the Florida Bar to serve on the Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee. This prestigious committee helps carry out the mandate of the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, which includes changing the existing guidelines of procedure and proposing new rules. To be able to qualify as a member, attorneys must have extensive experience working with these rules. It is an exciting appointment as the standing committees support the work of the Florida Bar, which means Mr. Tragos will have an active part in continuing to shape Florida’s legal landscape.
The Florida Bar is the organization of all lawyers licenced to practice in Florida and serves over 106,000 members. Though it is generally thought of as the organization that examines and licenses lawyers to practice in the state, it does so much more. Through their work, the Florida Bar helps protect the public, regulates the practice of law, and guides lawyers in achieving the highest standards of professionalism. The Florida Bar’s standing committees work to help make the Bar more dynamic. We are thrilled that Peter will be a part of this very important process.
